letters to kids
Mrs. Conley's homebase has been working on writing letters and making cards to show our support to kids of deployed soldiers. There are twenty kids of all different ages that we are sending cards to. The kids live all over the United States, including Alaska! We hope to make their holiday season a little happier even though their family will not be together.

My children and I went to my Mother's house for the Thanksgiving holdiays; we left on Wednesday so I did not check my mail before we left. We are just getting back home. I checked the mail and found two envelopes addressed to Jalen and Jasmine. When I began reading the letters/cards your students wrote to my children, it brought tears to my eyes. I was very touched by their words and that your students thought enough of my children to send them encouraging remarks and to let them know that they are very brave to go on while Daddy is away (I have tears now). Tomorrow, we will write out our thank notes and send them out, but I had to come here and let you know how appreciative we are. When you go to school tomorrow, please let ALEX B., DANA K, PATRICK, MEAGHAN S, RYAN, DAN T, ALYSSA M, AMANDA, AND ELORA (is that how you spell her name? I'm not sure, it's a little hard to read) that Jalen and Jasmine received their notes and they loved them!!!! Again, thank you for doing this project.
My son got letters from her class as well, and it made Thanksgiving a little less lonely. Thanks again
